After an active media start, exhibitions and numerous interviews, the whole team plunged into operational tasks and micro-management a few months ago. During this time, we found responsible and decent people who could implement and manage our charitable campaigns at every stage (logistics, communications, loading/unloading, aid distributing, etc.). In addition, we studied many volunteer initiatives already working and became friends with many wonderful people who, from the first days of the war, began to help the country on entirely different issues actively. We also took numerous interviews with people affected by the war to understand their needs to support them later effectively.
We did all this so that each of our charity campaigns would be useful from A to Z for the citizens of Ukraine affected by the war, transparent for our partners and donors, and manageable for our team.
We would like to inform you that finally, we started our first campaign - Feed Those Who Need!
It all started with the fact that, with the support of Gamingtec and Member of Parliament of Ukraine, Oleksandr Horenuik, we created a volunteer center, the main idea of which is to promptly respond to all the needs of refugees affected by the war and left their homes.
This center has been functioning since the beginning of the war in Odesa. In this city, hundreds of thousands of refugees from the occupied territories of eastern and southern Ukraine have been arriving since 2014.
From this day, the first campaign Feed Those Who Need, which we hope to carry out monthly, starts in our volunteer center!
This campaign aims to provide basic support to refugees, namely, to cover their daily nutrition needs. Now we close this issue with food packages that are enough for the whole family. The package includes the following:
- rice;
- sugar;
- pasta;
- sunflower oil;
- grain;
- semolina;
- oats;
- canned corn;
- canned peas;
- soap;
- toothpaste;
- toothbrushes (family set);
- hygienic products.
Today is May 1st. The warehouse is working. The first two food trucks have arrived. Our volunteers are sorting food, forming food packages, working with refugees, finding out their needs, and preparing requests for the next deliveries. This time, we are able to help 2000-2500 families, and this is very important for us.
It's hard to talk to refugees. It is impossible to get used to their pain and grief. So many have lost everything: relatives, roofs over their heads, money, documents, and jobs. However, we do our best to make these people not lose hope and faith in the best. With the support of Gamingtec, we got the opportunity to help these people by covering their most basic needs. And we hope that with our support, they will feel that they are not alone and will definitely get assistance.
Very soon, we will show you our first day of distribution of food packages. And within a month, we will show you a full-fledged video about this campaign, its participants and, most importantly, the people we help.
